Magnesium ingot

Magnesium ingot is a new type of light and corrosion resistant metal material developed in the 20th century. It is mainly used in the production of magnesium alloy, aluminum alloy, desulfurization in steelmaking, aviation and military industry.

Magnesium is widely used in automobile manufacturing, light industry, metallurgy industry, chemical industry, electronic industry and instrument manufacturing, etc. Magnesium alloys are favored by manufacturers of computers, home appliances and mobile phones for their excellent performance and beautiful posture.
It has the advantages of low specific gravity, high strength per unit weight and high chemical stability, which makes the Al-Mg alloy and its magnesium mold castings more popular and the magnesium industry develops rapidly. Magnesium alloy has the advantages of high strength, heat resistance, wear resistance and light weight, so it gradually replaces the plastic products and steel parts with a large proportion in the automobile industry, mainly replacing the original engine, steering wheel, seat base and so on. General Motors, for example, has 15 pounds (6.8 kilograms) of magnesium molded parts in its Polaris V-8 engine, which it installed on Cadillac vehicles. The company produced 25,000 to 30,000 of these vehicles annually in the mid-1990s and needed magnesium for that alone. Demand from America's General Motors, which churn out more than 9m vehicles a year, and Japan's Toyota, which makes as many as GM, is enough to excite magnesium producers.
